Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-29
This is the privacy policy for Resize Studio (“the app”). The app is published by Bekir Yıldız (“we”). This policy covers what data the app handles, where it goes, and what choices you have.
Short version
- Your photos stay on your device. All resizing and layout work happens locally. No image is uploaded to our servers, because we don’t operate any servers that receive images.
- EXIF metadata is stripped from every export. GPS coordinates, camera model, and timestamps embedded in photos are removed before saving or sharing.
- We do use third-party SDKs for ads (Google AdMob), purchases (RevenueCat), and Android crash reporting (Google Play). These collect device identifiers and usage data per their own terms.
- You can opt out of personalized ads by declining the App Tracking prompt on iOS or your Google ad personalization choice on Android. The app still works; ads become non-personalized.
What we do not collect
- We don’t have a user account system. You don’t sign in.
- We don’t operate any servers that store your data.
- We don’t read your photo library beyond the photo you actively pick.
- We don’t read your contacts, location, calendar, or microphone.
What stays on your device
- Custom sizes you create.
- Layouts you save, including the paths to photos used in them.
- Your preferences (theme, language, default JPEG quality, default DPI).
- A small counter used to enable the “Rate this app” prompt after a few successful saves.
These are stored using your platform’s standard preferences mechanism (shared_preferences). They are included in your phone’s normal backup (iCloud Backup on iOS, Auto Backup on Android), which means a phone restore will bring them back. We do not have access to those backups — they belong to you and your platform.
What third-party SDKs do
The free version of the app shows banner ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), unless you have limited ad tracking.
- Coarse location and device information.
- Usage events to measure ad performance.
The Pro unlock removes ads entirely. After purchase, no ad SDK is contacted.
In-app purchases (the one-time Pro unlock) go through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat sits in front of the platform receipt verification and tells the app whether you have Pro. It receives an anonymous app-installation identifier and the purchase event. It does not receive your name, email, or photos.

Permissions we ask for
- Photo library / files — to let you pick a photo to resize or to fill a layout slot. We read the photo you pick and nothing else.
- Camera — only if you tap “Take photo.” Required so the app can capture a new photo.
- Save to photos / gallery — to write the exported image back to your photos.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS only) — required by Apple before AdMob can use your IDFA. Declining still lets the app work.
You can change any of these in your phone’s Settings.
Children
Resize Studio is a general-utility app and not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and surface a What’s new note in-app.
